Gemstones in Quran
Certain gemstones carry real traditional significance in Islamic history. The Quran describes the dwellers of Paradise adorned with gemstones, and it’s authentically reported that the Prophet ﷺ wore a ring set with aqeeq (agate/carnelian) — which is why aqeeq in particular is widely favoured among practicing Muslims to this day.
It’s worth being clear-eyed about this: wearing a particular stone is a matter of following a known Sunnah practice or personal traditional preference, not a guarantee of any specific spiritual or worldly outcome — results and experience vary from person to person.
